Precision Optical Coating Capabilities

Metal Coating
Metal Coating

Rays Optics provides durable metal coatings (Al, Ag, Au, etc.) for optical components. Our coatings can physically isolate the external environment, resist mechanical friction and scratches, protect against dust, moisture and chemical erosion, and delay the aging of components. The metal coating enhances the stability of the optical system, balancing the requirements for protection and optical functionality.

Anti-Reflective Coating
Anti-Reflective Coating

Rays Optics designs precision AR coatings for 200-3000nm wavelengths. The working principle of the AR coating is based on the phenomenon of light interference. By depositing a specific thickness of coating on the surface, the reflected light from the upper and lower surfaces of the coating interferes and cancels out. The AR coating can increase the light transmittance of optical components, reduce ghosting and glare, and enhance the visual effect.

High Reflective Coating
High Reflective Coating

Based on the materials and structure, HR coating can be classified into metal high reflection coatings and dielectric high reflection coatings. Metal coatings have a wide reflection band and low cost, but they are prone to oxidation. Dielectric coatings have high reflection rate, extremely low absorption loss, and are resistant to wear; however, their reflection band is narrow and the cost is high.

Beam Splitter Coating

Rays Optics engineers precision BS coatings with customizable R/T 10:90 to 90:10 across UV-NIR spectra. The BS coatings are classified into neutral coatings (which split all wavelengths of light within a specific band at a fixed ratio), band-selective coatings (which selectively separate light from different bands), and polarizing coatings (which separate non-polarized light into two beams of mutually perpendicular linear polarized light).

Diamond-Like Carbon Coating
Diamond-Like Carbon Coating

Rays Optics DLC coatings offer >3000 HV hardness for excellent scratch and wear resistance. They deliver >95% average transmittance in the 3–12μm IR range, with strong resistance to salt spray and moisture. Operating at 200–400°C, they are thermally matched to ZnSe, Si, and other IR materials. Ideal for high-power lasers and thermal imaging systems, our DLC coatings extend component life and reduce maintenance costs. Widely used in military, aerospace, and industrial inspection applications.
