JGS1 is a grade of "far-ultraviolet optical fused silica," a high-purity synthetic fused quartz with extremely low metal impurity content and extremely low OH content (< 10 ppm), resulting in negligible infrared water absorption bands. Its key advantages are excellent deep-UV transmittance, high purity, and a high laser-induced damage threshold, making it suitable for precision optical applications in the deep-UV, visible, and near-infrared ranges from 185 nm to 2500 nm.
Extremely high UV transmittance
Excellent optical homogeneity
No color center formation under deep-UV exposure
