A polarizating rotator is an optical device used to continuously and precisely rotate the vibration direction of linearly polarized light. It does not alter the polarization state of the light (i.e., it does not output elliptical or circularly polarized light). Instead, much like turning a steering wheel, it rotates the entire incoming linearly polarized light by a specific angle.
Simple structure and low cost.
High damage threshold and freedom from electronic control complexity.
Not suitable for high-speed automated systems.
