A PM fiber collimator uses a GRIN or C-lens to collimate or couple light. It can work singly or in pairs with filters/isolators in between. In coherence-based interferometric sensors, it maintains polarization stability, boosting SNR for high-precision measurements.


  • Outputs fixed, known linear polarization

  • The polarization direction of the input light must be aligned with the slow axis or fast axis of the PM fiber

  • PM fiber is highly sensitive to bending and twisting
