Cut-Off Filter

A cut-off filter is an optical component capable of sharply or gradually separating the optical spectrum. It allows high transmission of light within a specific wavelength range while strongly suppressing (blocking) light in another range. Based on its cut-off characteristics, it is primarily categorized into two types: longpass filters and shortpass filters.

  • Excellent spectral control capability, allowing for customization of steep cut-off edges.

  • High transmission in the passband region.

  • Extremely high optical density (OD) achievable in the blocking zone.
