A cube beamsplitter is a precision optical component formed by cementing two identical right-angle prisms along their hypotenuses, with a beam-splitting thin film deposited between the angled surfaces. It enables efficient, compact, and high-performance beam splitting. According to its design, the film layer reflects part of the light energy and transmits the remainder, thereby splitting the beam into two that exit from two mutually perpendicular output faces.
